This is an AMAZING idea, please write your own list and check out this [link] to a forum where you can see other people's lists and plan what you can do to brighten another person's holiday season! I'm planning on granting as many wishes as possible and so should all of you. It's an easy and relatively inexpensive way to spread the love to other members of the dA community.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

REMEMBER this is about ways you can help people through what you have. You do not need to blow all your savings on this , it is simply to get that good feeling when you help people out.

2. I wish I had more DVDs because I absolutely love movies, but I'm almost never able to actually buy them.
3. I wish I had a space of my own where I could be surrounded by everything I love.

5. I wish I had a ton of new books (or book recommendations) and new music to listen to while I read them.
6. I wish I had this coat [link] or a similar black trench coat.
7. I wish I had a pair of Converse in a really cool color- or multiple colors
8. I wish I knew of a place in Vegas where I could horseback ride, Western style.
9. I wish my boyfriend and I could take a trip to NYC, or at least be able to spend more time together.
10. I wish I had more time to spend on the activities and hobbies I love.

Theme: “Give life to an inanimate object”.

Create a piece of artwork centering around an inanimate object (chair, book, paintbrush, candle, whatever. Just nothing living...food is ok). There may be a background of some sort, but the piece must center upon one object, pair of objects, or group of related objects. The tricky part is that in creating this piece, you must bring life to your chosen inanimate object in some way. I do not want beautiful still lives of fruit in a basket...unless you take that basket of fruit and show it in a completely new and interesting light. Life can mean many things: movement, personality, or perhaps just a different way of portraying/capturing this object. Be creative and experiment! I know this will be a challenge...so the theme is very much open to interpretation. However, if you have any questions or are not sure if your deviation fits the theme, please note me. This contest is open to ALL mediums! (Lit could actually work very, very well...)
